The entire Delhi team of WB India went on a trip recently to the hills north of Delhi, the hill station of Kasauli. Read below how one WB team member has experienced this exciting event with all colleagues:
“The journey begin with assembling at ‘’Kohat Enclave Metro Station’’ in Delhi at 7 a.m. With all excitement and enthusiasm, we reached well before time to enjoy, live and cherish each and every moment of this trip. With a cup of tea at ‘’hawkers point’’ and waiting for the van, we had our morning tea in a pleasant weather and finally get seated by 7.30 a.m. After a roll call of all present we moved ahead all the way to Kasauli with chants of “Hip Hip Hoorray”! With lots of chatting and a friendly atmosphere all around, we passed one hour of our journey to “Sukhdev Dhabha” at G.T. Karnal Road for having a breakfast full of “yummy” parathas with Dahi, Butter and Lassi. After this heavy duty breakfast we moved ahead towards our destination another five hours by watching movies, playing cards, having snacks and taking naps. Finally, we reached ‘’Kasauli Resort” at 2:30 p.m. and after keeping our luggage we assembled at the dining hall for lunch. We enjoyed the beauty of the site and the mountains with peace and greenery all around. After a lot of group photos taken in front of the scenery, we went to our rooms to get ready for tracking to “Upper Mall Road” and the nearby church. After dinner at 9.30 p.m. and small walk within the resort, we said “goodnight” to each other and went to our rooms to wake up early for morning walk and trekking.
The next day began with a morning walk. We had breakfast and got seated all together in a van. After roll call of fourteen, we moved ahead to spend our day in Shimla. It was a journey of around three hours, which we passed by playing “Antakshari” in groups of girls vs. guys. The day was bright and a cold air was blowing in Shimla. In Shimla, some did shopping for their loved ones, while others were enjoying horse riding & sightseeing and our girls were busy in getting their pictures clicked in “Kashmiri dresses”. After having lunch and all fun throughout the way back to the resort with tea and snacks breaks, we reached the resort at 9 p.m. Being our last night in Kasauli resort, we enjoyed it to the fullest extent by celebrating the birthday of our colleague Valsa, playing cards and gossiping until late night.
During our last day in resort, every one was busy in packing their bags. The time scheduled for check out was 10 a.m., we all had breakfast and assembled in the lawn for a session of group photos. The journey passed away by playing tombola and sharing every ones opinion and experiences about this trip as well as future plans. All of us felt to be a part of a family and did not realize how quickly these three days passed away. And finally the van dropped us sometime around 5.30 p.m. back in Delhi at ‘’Pitampura Metro Station’’ and we moved ahead to our homes along with wonderful new experiences.”
